Live Sessions and How to make the best of them?

Writer: Blue Owl ProjectBlue Owl Project

I'm sure you've heard the phrase, "Live Sessions are like an interview with a friend." Well, it's true. You get to ask questions and they can help you learn how to improve your skills as an online mentor. But it can also be stressful when you're in front of them! We all know that online mentors often have limited time to spend with their clients because they have other responsibilities as well.

So how do you make the best use of this opportunity? Here are my top tips for making sure that your live sessions are productive and enjoyable:

Invest in good headphones

  • Invest in good headphones.

  • Consider buying specialized headphones that block out noise, or even better, noise-canceling ones. These types of headphones are usually more expensive but worth it if you need them for gaming or watching movies in a loud environment.

  • Make sure the ear cups fit snugly on your head, so they won't fall off while you're playing games or doing other tasks that require concentration like doing work at home! If possible, try them out before purchasing them so there will be no surprises later down the line when trying to use them again after unpacking everything from your shopping cart!

Have a notebook handy to jot down important points.

If you're not sure what to write down, a notebook is the best place to start. Just jot down any important points you think of during the session. You can also use this opportunity to ask questions or clarify anything that might be unclear in the content presented.

If possible, try using a pen rather than pencils or ballpoints because they are more precise and less likely to smudge their way across your page!

Avoid any distractions and make sure you have a great internet connection for an engaging live session with your online mentor

  • Make sure you have a good internet connection.

  • Keep your phone on silent.

  • Don't multitask, eat or drink (these are distractions), or listen to music!

Avoid Distraction by keeping aside your phone and any other gadgets.

When you're recording a live session, it's important to keep your phone out of sight. Even if you want to take a picture or send a text message while recording, it can be distracting and make you lose focus on what the person is saying.

If there are other people in the room with you (like your bandmates), try not to talk or text on your phone during their performance—it may seem like fun at first but will make them feel less comfortable than they would have if they weren't distracted by something else happening around them during their performance time.

Try also avoiding any background noises such as TV shows playing on mute; music playing through speakers; or pets scratching at doors near where we record our sessions so that we won't miss anything important happening while we talk!

Stay Calm, the internet speed may go down or the connection may fail. Which is why make sure you have the recording link provided by your trainer or instructor. Take a deep breath and don't panic! Everything will be fine!

  • If you are using Skype for your training session, make sure that you have installed Adobe Flash Player on your computer before proceeding with this step.

Keep a water bottle handy.

Stay hydrated!

Water is essential for your body's health, so keep a bottle handy as you work on your presentation and make sure you're drinking plenty of it. Water helps with digestion, keeps your skin looking fresh and clear of blemishes, helps to flush out toxins from your body using sweat glands in the muscles and kidneys (which are located near by), keeps those brain cells firing away at full speed; all this makes for a sharp mind that knows exactly what needs to be done at any given moment - especially when dealing with multiple people!

Get up and make yourself a strong coffee or tea.

If you have time, get up and make yourself a strong coffee or tea. It will help keep you energized and focused, so that when it comes time to record your session, you're ready to go. You can also set up an extra mic on the table if needed.

You can now see that there are many ways in which you can make the most out of your online session with your online mentor.

You just need to be smart enough, stay focused and keep yourself focused on your goal. Remember to work with patience and persistence. I hope these tips will help you get through this phase of growth faster than expected!
